Catalog description

Credits 0 to 10. 0 to 10 Other Hours. Basic principles of non-surgical acute hospital care; experience in the day-to-day management of severely ill hospitalized patients with malignant diseases at all stages, both as a primary care giver and as a consultant, biologic therapy, immunotherapy and supportive care; initiation and proper use of clinical research protocols in medical oncology; basic principles of symptom control in patients with all stages of malignant disease; basic principles of a multidisciplinary approach to patients with cancer, including interaction with other medical specialists and support services; and strengthen the student's ability to interact with patients and their families at a time of health crisis.
