Credits 3. 3 Lecture Hours. Management of social and physical resources in hospitality, tourism, and recreation sectors; exploration of parks and recreation as sustainable spaces; land access issues in urban and sprawling communities; modern park systems' approaches to land use, space repurposing, and area design and programming for recreation; emphasis on natural and environmental benefits; critical components such as land acquisition, classification, operations, planning, and design concepts. Prerequisites: HMGT 201 and junior or senior classification.
