Credits 3. 3 Lecture Hours. Effective leadership of innovation processes within the commercial real estate industry and the establishment of a culture of innovation; theories of innovation and how they relate to various real estate fields and asset classes; effects of change catalysts such as shifts in consumer behavior, evolving work environments, and new technology on quality of life, work, and play in the built environment; analysis and evaluation of technological change with a focus on PropTech, the underlying technology used throughout the property industry to manage and streamline transactions from start to finish. Prerequisites: FINC 670 ; enrollment in the Master of Real Estate Program.
