Credits 3. 2 Lecture Hours. 2 Lab Hours. An introduction to insect biology and evolution, including basic insect structure, function and diversity. The course provides a guide to insect taxonomy and a survey of all insect orders, with an emphasis on their unique behavior, physiology and ecology, including their beneficial and harmful interactions with humans.
