Credit 1.5. 1.5 Lecture Hour. Introduction to energy efficiency in buildings; understanding the energy use in buildings, the heating and cooling requirements, the role of renewable energy resources, the impact of lighting, the role of optimal control measures in existing and new buildings, the verification of energy savings, and the building energy simulation. Prerequisite: Graduate classification; ENGY majors.
