Catalog description

Credits 3. 3 Lecture Hours. Study of 20th and 21st century rhetorical theories and theorists; focus on relationships among rhetoric and culture, such as philosophy of language, theories of the public, public discourse, theories of media and/or rhetoric’s relationship to embodiment, identity and/or community. Instructors teaching this class will choose texts, assessments and approaches that represent current scholarship and satisfy course learning objectives. Prerequisite: Junior or senior classification.
