Catalog description

Credits 3. 3 Lecture Hours. This course explores some of the major cultural texts from the late nineteenth to mid-twentieth century. Students can expect to encounter materials that grapple with the vast historical and social changes occurring during the time and to consider how texts represent diverse viewpoints. Instructors teaching this class will choose texts, assessments and approaches that represent current scholarship and satisfy course learning objectives. Prerequisite: Junior or senior classification.
