Credits 3. 3 Lecture Hours. An exploration of the development of the fantasy genre which may include a survey of foundational texts (medieval romance, myth, fairy tales, etc.) and such topics as significant authors, movements, sub-genres and media. Instructors teaching this class will choose texts, assessments and approaches that represent current scholarship and satisfy course learning objectives. Prerequisite: Junior or senior classification.
