Catalog description

Credits 3. 3 Lecture Hours. Period course in the poetry, prose and drama of the intellectual and artistic movement known as the Renaissance, which flourished in England throughout the 16th and early 17th centuries. Additional attention will be given to historical, cultural and/or political contexts informing the texts and their study. Instructors teaching this class will choose texts, assessments and approaches that represent current scholarship and satisfy course learning objectives. Prerequisite: 3 credits of literature at 200-level or above.
