Exploration of selected works of Shakespeare in text, performance and/or adaptation, with attention to various historical, cultural and/or political contexts informing Shakespeare’s texts and their study. Instructors teaching this class will choose texts, assessments and approaches that represent current scholarship and satisfy course learning objectives; also taught at Galveston campus.
