Catalog description

Credits 3. 3 Lecture Hours. Introduction to digital culture(s); exposure to some methodologies for the interpretation and critique of digital media from the humanities. These may include but are not limited to approaches from critical data studies, media studies, digital humanities, and the history of science and technology. Students can expect to gain experience analyzing digital media and expect to develop critical thinking and intercultural competence while engaging in respectful discourse on complex topics related to digital cultures. Instructors teaching this class will choose texts, assessments and approaches that represent current scholarship and satisfy course learning objectives.
