Credits 3. 3 Lecture Hours. Focus on writing about literature through practice in skills such as literary analysis, close reading and interpretation; practice in writing, discussion and other forms of communication about texts; may include works drawn from a wide range of definitions of literature, such as novels, films, songs, poetry, drama and/or other kinds of texts. Text selection organized thematically and/or by genre. Instructors teaching this class will choose texts, assessments and approaches that represent current scholarship and satisfy course learning objectives; also taught at Galveston campus.
