Credits 3. 3 Lecture Hours. (ENGL 1302) Composition and Rhetoric. Focus on written communication through the development of analytical reading ability, critical thinking and information literacy; emphasis on effective rhetorical choices such as audience, purpose, arrangement and style. Instructors teaching this class will choose texts, assessments and approaches that represent current scholarship and satisfy course learning objectives. Prerequisite: Freshman or sophomore classification; also taught at Galveston and Qatar campuses.
