Credits 3. 3 Lecture Hours. This course provides a foundational understanding of how early childhood education (ECE) policy is created, influenced and advanced in the United States. Students will explore the policy process from design to implementation, with particular attention to the roles of government, advocacy, communication and ethics. The course emphasizes both conceptual understandings and practical applications, preparing students to navigate and shape policy that supports high-quality services for all young children and their families. Prerequisites: Graduate classification.
