Explores science and its endeavors from a sociological perspective in order to make inferences on school science practice and science teaching; discusses the social context of disciplinary knowledge, problems of experimentation and scientific measurement, originality, cognitive particularism, collectivization of science, and peer review. Prerequisite: Graduate classification.
