Credits 3. 3 Lecture Hours. Overview of historical and contemporary theory and practice associated with education/higher education advancement, development and fundraising; exploration of various models of fundraising, including campaigns and annual funds; review historical and modern approaches associated lotteries, major gifts, corporate and foundation giving, annual contributions, student giving, crowdfunding, etc.; theoretical and conceptual frameworks associated with donor identification, motivation, cultivation, stewardship and giving; review of ethical, legal and socially conscience practices associated with advancement, development and fundraising. Prerequisites: Graduate classification; Department of EAHR program; or approval of instructor.
