Credits 3. 3 Lecture Hours. Applies microeconomic and macroeconomic principles to the analysis of current policy and market challenges; topics vary by instructor but may include evaluating issues such as fiscal and monetary policy, globalization and trade, labor markets, technological change, health care, innovation and long-run growth; emphasizes critical interpretation of data, policy evaluation and evidence-based reasoning; encourages application of economic tools to real-world topics. May be taken two times for credit as content varies. Prerequisite: Grade of C or better in ECON 323 and ECON 410 .
