Credits 3. 3 Lecture Hours. Analysis of competition, regulation and antitrust policy through the lens of modern industrial organization; examines how strategic interactions among firms affect efficiency, innovation and consumer welfare; studies the economic rationale behind antitrust laws and their application to practices such as price discrimination, collusion, mergers and vertical restraints; evaluates landmark judicial decisions and regulatory actions shaping competition policy and market outcomes. Prerequisite: Grade of C or better in ECON 323 .
