Typical and atypical infant and toddler development; sources of variation in learning and development; developmentally appropriate expectations; markers of quality child care for infants and toddlers; family systems and relationship dynamics; early intervention and support programs; issues in curriculum and environments of childcare; skills for applying knowledge through specific professional roles. Prerequisites: EDCI 353 .
