Catalog description

Credits 3. 2 Lecture Hours. 3 Lab Hours. This course instructs students in the fundamentals of capturing images underwater. Emphasis is placed on camera operation and foundational composition and storytelling techniques, while maintaining safe diving and equipment handling methods. Prerequisites: DIVE 260 or equivalent and approval of instructor; advanced open water certification from a nationally recognized training agency; must complete a medical statement showing no contraindication to diving or have a recreational scuba diver’s physical examination; master level or higher or equivalent Diver’s Alert Network (DAN) diving accident insurance.
