Credits 2. 1 Lecture Hour. 3 Lab Hours. Introductory study of jazz dance; locomotor and axial phrases of movement, concepts, and techniques to develop motor and rhythmical skills for jazz movement; develop coordination, stamina, flexibility, and proper alignment; historical background and cultural heritage of jazz dance including various styles and choreographers. May be taken three times for credit. Prerequisites: Graduate classification.
