Credits 3. 3 Lecture Hours. Examination of the histories and fundamentals of music through lenses of past and current dance practices; investigation of choreographic approaches relating to sound; development of skills to communicate between musician and dance instructor/choreographer; introduction to sound design and editing techniques using audio technologies; overview of processes through which music licenses may be obtained for dance performances. Prerequisites: Graduate classification.
