Credits 3. 2 Lecture Hours. 2 Lab Hours. Analysis of trusses, beams and frames using matrix structural analysis (direct stiffness method); matrix algebra and solution of linear algebraic equations; derivation of matrix stiffness relationships; coordinate transformations; topics related to use of commercial software for structural analysis; programming matrix methods to solve structures. Prerequisites: Grade of C or better in CVEN 345 and CVEN 363 .
