Overview of passwords, two-factor and multi-factor authentication, biometric systems, end-to-end encryption protocols, and authentication side channels; analysis of new authentication techniques that build upon fundamental topics in computer science, including machine learning, crypto theory, natural language processing, and human-computer interaction. Prerequisites: Graduate classification.
