Catalog description

Credits 3. 3 Lecture Hours. Foundations of artificial intelligence and machine learning; search, reasoning and knowledge representation; planning, decision making and problem solving; supervised and unsupervised learning; deep learning methods and generative AI; applications across domains such as language, vision and robotics; evaluation of systems; ethical and societal implications. Prerequisites: Grade of C or better in CSCE 221 and CSCE 222/ECEN 222 ; grade of C or better in STAT 211 or ECEN 303 ; also taught at Galveston campus.
