Credits 3. 3 Lecture Hours. Legal issues affecting construction, including the parties to construction work, contracting and the Uniform Commercial Code, responsibilities and risk, risk management, damages, handling of claims and disputes including warranties and statutes of limitation and repose, insurance, bankruptcy, labor and employment, and environmental laws as they relate to and impact the construction industry; litigation and alternative dispute resolution methods regularly used in the construction industry; emerging legal topics that impact construction. Prerequisites: COSC majors; COSC 463 .
