Credits 3. 3 Lecture Hours. Overview of the challenges and strategies for energy transition, security and sustainable manufacturing. Focus will be given to the trends in technological advances for the efficient use of various energy sources and carriers in the process industries and the energy sector (current and future). Covers the sources, transformation and sinks of energy carriers, products and wastes from a life cycle perspective. Emphasis is given to tracking inventories, capture/removal/reclamation, transportation, utilization and storage of various. Covers emerging strategies and technologies in energy transition. Prerequisites: Graduate classification in engineering.
