Credits 3. 3 Lecture Hours. Theory and practice of modern nuclear magnetic resonance spectroscopy; Bloch equations, relaxation and relaxation mechanisms, chemical exchange, pulse and Fourier-transform methods, selective excitation, 2-D methods and solid-state nuclear magnetic resonance. Prerequisite: Graduate classification in chemistry or approval of instructor.
