Credits 3. 3 Lecture Hours. Introduction to transition and main group metal-mediated reactions in organic synthesis; organometallic mechanisms in the context of homogeneous catalytic systems currently employed in synthetic laboratories; emphasis on the properties of transition metal complexes and their interactions with organic substrates that promote useful chemical transformations. Prerequisite: CHEM 646 recommended.
