A rigorous treatment of first, second, and third laws of thermodynamics; applications to gases (both ideal and real), liquids, solutions and phase equilibria; statistical thermodynamics; kinetic theory of gases; introduction to chemical kinetics. Prerequisite: CHEM 327 . Replaces CHEM 323 in previous catalogs.
