Credits 3. 3 Lecture Hours. Application of numerical analysis to molecular, cellular and physiological systems using computational techniques to approximate solutions for complex mathematical problems. Topics include finding roots, solving linear systems, interpolation, differentiation, integration and differential equations, emphasizing algorithm efficiency, error analysis and implementation using modern computing software. Prerequisites: Grade of C or better in BMEN 207 and VTPP 434 .
