Credit 1. 3 Lab Hours. Principles and techniques used in the preparation and characterization of biomaterials, including metals, ceramics, polymers and composites; microstructural, chemical/compositional and surface analysis methods; hands-on acquisition, interpretation and analysis of the characterization results. Prerequisites: Concurrent enrollment in BMEN 343 ; grade of C or better in BMEN 250 or STAT 312 ; Biomedical Engineering major.
