Analysis of the earliest stages of animal evolution by integrating various scientific fields such as genomics, paleontology, metabolism, morphology, environment, development and behavior; includes hands-on exploration of fossils and modern animals to understand how evolution shaped our world. Prerequisites: BIOL 214 ; junior or senior classification.
