Investigation of indigenous, vernacular and historical American architecture from 1500 to 1920; evolution of construction technologies, changing building forms and finish treatments; identification of historic architectural styles and their influence on 21st century American architecture. Prerequisites: ARCH 250 or ARCH 350 ; junior or senior classification, or approval of instructor.
