Credits 3. 3 Lecture Hours. Review of current problems in the study of artifact assemblages; focus on theory explaining variability in artifact forms and technologies, especially in the contexts of subsistence and settlement behavior as well as exchange and social organization; alternating sections focus on lithic or ceramic technologies. May be taken two times for credit. Prerequisite: Graduate classification or approval of instructor.
