Credits 3. 3 Lecture Hours. Astronautical and astrodynamical topics pertinent to Space Domain Awareness; Resident Space Objects in Earth orbit and in the Earth-moon system, and observational/ computational resources necessary for their characterization; satellites in cislunar space; space surveillance assets and systems; algorithms for orbit determination, catalog maintenance, and estimation of actionable information. Prerequisites: Graduate classification; AERO 423 or equivalent upper-level astrodynamics course; upper-level undergraduate linear algebra course; scientific and engineering programming experience; or approval of instructor.
