Catalog description

The course presents the student with selected clinical diagnostic laboratory, imaging tests and with selected procedures practiced by advanced nurse practitioner in the primary care setting. Clinical decision‐making for appropriate tests or procedures, and interpretation of diagnostic test results is addressed. Laboratory, simulation and practicum experiences will facilitate learning of procedures such as suturing, EKG interpretation, dermatologic procedures and radiology.
