Catalog description

This course focuses on the theoretical and clinical foundation of advanced practice management of health care problems common to adult and older adults including the frail elderly, individuals and their families. The student will be introduced to the role of nurse practitioner in the primary care management of individuals and families of adult clients. Emphasis is on the application of assessment, wellness and health promotion practices in the comprehensive management and implementation of evidence‐based practice in the primary care setting. Population based health disparities and their impact on the health of individuals and families will be explored.
