Catalog description

An intensive study of Greek and Latin elements in English etymology and the derivation of words important to contemporary medicine, science, and other professions, with an emphasis on development of word-building skills. Aims are to teach word analysis, to increase technical vocabulary, and to study our linguistic and cultural debt to Greek and Roman language across the disciplines. No prior knowledge of Greek or Latin is necessary.
