Catalog description

A study of Europe’s transition from the fall of Rome to the High Middle Ages (14th century CE). Emphasis will be placed on the development of the medieval social and political order, including the emergence of feudal society, the impact of the Byzantine and Islamic worlds, the rise of the Papacy and the Crusades, as well as the technological, economic, intellectual, and social advancements of the period more broadly.
