This course focuses on American literature from the first half of the twentieth century, with specific attention to American Literary Modernism, covering fiction, non-fiction, and poetry. Representative authors may include Agee, Anderson, Cather, Eliot, Faulkner, Fitzgerald, Frost, Hemingway, Hughes, Hurston, Stevens, and Williams. May be repeated once for credit when topics vary.
