Catalog description

Students enrolled in this course will participate in the South Texas Writing Project’s Invitational Summer Institute, an affiliate of the National Writing Project. This course will concentrate on the student’s own development as a professional writer and on pursuing research in the area of teaching writing. Students will produce several pieces of writing suitable for possible publication and will focus on a research question germane to the teaching of writing. Prerequisite: Permission from South Texas Writing Project site director. Must be concurrently enrolled in English 5307.
