Catalog description

An intensive review and evaluation of traditional, modern, and innovative pedagogies in teaching English and composition at the collegiate level. Participants will explore and apply methods that will prepare them to teach English and/ or composition in higher education settings. Topics include English and composition pedagogy, rhetorical strategies, course preparation for literary and textual studies, curriculum design, grammar instruction, and assessment practices for freshman composition courses.
