Catalog description

Exploration of and practicum in various genres of creative writing at the intermediate level. Guided by analysis of audience, technique, and style and critical reading of the work of established authors, as well as by craft essays, students will practice reading and writing genres including fiction, nonfiction, poetry, screenwriting, novel writing, writing for performance and illustrated texts as well as more specific genre classes, included but not limited to horror, mystery and long-form narrative journalism. May be repeated twice for credit.
