Catalog description

Requires a familiarity with theories of delinquency, the juvenile justice system, and elements of juvenile law. Focuses on the various groups (such as race, gender/sex, class, etc.) that have been exposed to and are involved in the juvenile justice system historically to today. Examines socio-historical origins and the evolution of juvenile justice, delinquency, theories, present research and policy on delinquency prevention and intervention, and future directions of law, policy, and practice.
