Catalog description

This course examines how shifts in media technologies, corporate structure, and the audience’s use of media have affected the practice of journalism. This course will provide students with practical skills, including newsgathering, journalistic writing, interviewing, filming, and editing. Course exercises are designed for students to broaden their understanding of how emergent technologies have changed both the practice of journalists and the nature of the audience in journalism.
