Intermediate Painting

Catalog description

A continuation of ARTS 2316 . This course will expand on the skills learned in Painting I. Emphasis will be placed on further developing a practical knowledge of color theory, materials, surfaces, and paint application. Through guided assignments, students will explore direct methods of painting and the flexibility of the medium. Students will work from direct observation, photo reference, and collage. Individual and group critiques will be used as tools to develop critical awareness and foster dialogue.
