Catalog description

In this course, students cover the major aspects of culture: social organization, economics, religion, globalization, sociocultural change, and language and expressive culture. Students will read ethnographic articles in order to learn the many variations of the human experience. Ethnographic fieldwork, challenges with cultural relativism and its associated challenges are discussed. Students will also learn how to research and write an academic paper.
