Spanish for Health Services

Catalog description

Course restricted to Nursing majors (Special permission is needed from instructor for all other majors.). Spanish language instruction for students entering the medical fields. They will learn the Spanish language--development oral, reading, writing, and listening communication skills--and knowledge of Hispanic culture necessary to be able to communicate with their future Hispanic patients efficiently and effectively. Students may enroll in SPAN 1010 or SPAN 1015, but not both. Native speakers of Spanish may not take this course.
