The focus of the course is to provide the accelerated professional nursing student with an understanding of pathophysiological principles as the basis for nursing assessment and therapeutic intervention and emphasizing the physiological responses to various common diseases, disorders, and disruptions affecting humans. Major diseases will be explored, in part by using a conceptual approach.
